Bridge abutments

Stable walls capable of bearing heavy loads with minimal settlement, Reinforced Earth® bridge abutments can directly support bridge decks, reducing the need for earth work.

Pure abutments are ideal solutions for compressible foundation soils, or where a combination of Reinforced Earth® and soil improvement can provide a cost-effective alternative to cast-in-place concrete abutments. Significant time and cost savings can also be generated where piles are necessary but can be reduced through a combination with Reinforced Earth® walls.
